Let it Go!

Here we are, now in the season of Fall. It is when everything seems to be in a transitional phase. I must admit, I truly love this season. Living in Maine is a beautiful place to be in Autumn.

I watch the leaves begin to change into brilliant colors. A glorious masterpiece is being painted before my very eyes. Giving off their final hurrah before gently falling to the ground. It is truly an awe-inspiring time.

I have been in the process of changing myself recently. There are times in our lives when we begin doing things, that are good for a period of time. That is wonderful. But, after a while, the season of that thing has run its course. It stops being a good and prosperous thing and becomes a chain that is keeping you bound. Preventing you from coming into full bloom.

If we do not recognize that it is time to let go, and close the door, we stand the chance of missing out on the next step we need to take. We miss new and better opportunities. We can even let things that we should be doing, slip away.

I did this recently, I started doing something, that in the beginning was really good. Unfortunately, that thing began to take over, and some of the most precious things in my life began to suffer because of it.

So here I was, sitting and looking at the landscape around me, beginning to change, while I was stuck, doing something that I began to resent. So this week, I took the cue from the trees.

Just as they begin to let go of their leaves, to release them, before going into their winter rest period. And when spring comes back, they will grow back and bursting with new life! I too, let that thing go

so that I can rest and regain my strength, so I can burst forth with new life.

I feel relieved, I feel my body release and let go of all the tension that has been building up over the past few months. I feel the rest coming.

I am not sad, I am excited to see what is coming next!

My advice to you is to take a look at your life and the things you are doing. Is there something that you need to let go of? I will not say it is easy, letting go of something that gives you stress can be difficult. It is,

however, so worth it, if it means you actually gain back a bit of your life!
